Postmodern hyperspace’s capitalist society works within different speeds of production - signs, signifiers, simulacra and real virtualities rule. Space becomes scape.

Digital film is believed to be able to cope with this accelerated mode of production. The workshops suggest to open up towards a realm of perceptive construction of possibilities, rendering them visible and believable to the viewer’s eye. In particular they deal with how the ubiquity of imagery and specifically the moving image changes how architecture is consumed at the moment and consequently projected into the future.

Workshops include a lecture, software introduction, group tutorials and a crit on the final day.
The workshops' aim consists in rethinking architecture as a construction of perception: The architect/ the camera is part of the scheme shaping it by viewing from a specific point of view, at a specific point in time. Students are introduced to digital film via the so called 2 ½ d technique, consisting in a refined layered-up combination of photoshop and after effects, and basic audio editing.
